Why use multiple workspaces?
Multiple workspaces allow you to manage separate businesses, departments, or projects independently within the same BotScheduling account. Common use cases include:
- Separating personal and business scheduling
- Running multiple independent businesses from one account
- Creating test or training environments separate from production
Creating Additional Workspaces
To add another workspace:
- Click on your username to open the user menu
- Select "Create New Workspace"
- Enter a workspace name (e.g., "Sally's Bake Shop")
- Add a brief description (e.g., "Home-baked pastries and desserts")
- Click "Create"
Your new workspace will be created with default settings. You can then customize it by adding users, resources, services, and customers specific to that workspace.
Switching Between Workspaces
To switch between your workspaces:
- Click on your username to open the user menu
- Select "Switch Workspace"
- Choose the workspace you want to access from the list
You will be immediately switched to the selected workspace. Each workspace maintains its own separate data, settings, and users.
Workspace independence
Each workspace operates independently with its own:
- Customers and appointments
- Resources and services
- Users and permissions
- Settings and configurations
- Billing and subscription (if applicable)
Data and resources cannot be shared between workspaces. Users must be invited separately to each workspace they need to access.
Managing workspace access
Your role in one workspace does not affect your role in another. You may be an Owner in one workspace and a User in another. Each workspace has its own permission structure.
